Good evening folks. I've been given the use of two Martin Mac 250 Entours for a couple of weeks in return for cleaning and servicing them. They've been sitting in a corner of a night club for two years with exploded bulbs inside of them, and probably also need lubricated (one of the shutters used to stick when I worked with them four years ago). My questions:
- Any tips for this task? I've found the service manual for them, but any wisdom borne of experience would be appreciated. One thing I'm concerned about: the owner's manual calls for a teflon-based lube, while the service manual calls for a silicone lube. What's up with that?
- I don't have anything to control them with. Any recommendations for software/controllers that will work with an iPad? I'm looking at Luminair, but I can't get a good sense of whether it will work with the Mac 250s, or what kind of DMX interface I need to be able to go from wifi to DMX. (All the Art-Net interfaces I've looked at are expensive as hell, and Ethernet only).
